We have some applications that can not use too high MDAC versions.
According to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823718,
there is a patch fixing the same security hole as 2.8 does. However, it
does not say explicitly whether it is just a fix without enhancing the MDAC
version, or it brings MDAC to version 2.8. Can you -- or someone else --
verify? Thanks.
