Is there a limit to number of tables that can be in one database? I am
guessing it is aroung 32000 but would like confirmation. I have poorly
designed customer app that partitions the data by creating seperate tables
for each store and quarter.
currently they are at around 26000, they shouldn't hit the 32000 this year
but soon. The theoretical number of object in a database is some 2 billion (object id column datatype is an
int). So you won't hot the roof with 32000, but one would question the database design... ;-)

At least they didn't make individual databases instead, that limit is
32,767. 8-)
